W.E.C. Lines has upgraded its current Bilbao service with a direct call from Bilbao to the UK, Thamesport. Simultaneously W.E.C. Lines will increase the capacity to 835 TEU weekly with Mv Van Eyck that was acquired last year October. This service is linked to the main areas in Spain like Madrid, Zaragoza, Barcelona and Valencia with rail services tailored to the needs of the customers.

Herewith we would like to update you concerning the strike situation in Bilbao. Both the employers and unions representing the dockworkers have agreed to take part in a mediation process lead by the Ministry of Labour.

Due to the ongoing strike in Bilbao we were forced to delay the implementation of the new service between Moerdijk and Bilbao.

NEWS FROM W.E.C. LINES: LAUNCH OF NEW DIRECT EXPRESS SERVICE MOERDIJK TO AND FROM BILBAO

The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has introduced new regulations restricting all sea-going vessels to use fuel with maximum 0,5% Sulphur content.

W.E.C. Lines is pleased to announce that it will open a dedicated W.E.C. Lines UK office based in Felixstowe from 29th July, 2019.

WEC Lines is introducing new bunker charges as of 1 January 2019 to achieve the common goal of improving environmental performance in the container shipping industry, as required by the 2020 Sulphur cap.
